The UNSW Atheist Society is the first society on campus for atheists, agnostics, and skeptics. Despite this, our members include theists and deists, the religious and simply apathetic - in this, we accept all. Our society welcomes all, despite their beliefs. If you can align with reasoned thought, you can join. If you look up at the stars every so often, and wonder for answers that are beyond omnipotent and omniscient deities, then this is the group for you. If you wonder at the beauty of the animal kingdom, and find that the answers you've been given don't fit the world you've seen (or studied), then this is the group for you - and if you've been persecuted for believing unorthodoxically from the beliefs of your family/community, then we can help. A certain percentage of what we do is serious - and not-so-serious. UAS' infamy at UNSW for various satirical acts and promotions is well known. If you can align with simple anarchy and have a willingness to test NSW's judicial system, you are also welcome to come along to our pranks and various shenanigans (or help out with our advertising).
